If you mix holiday escapades with shopping sprees, then you are a natural born traveler. You see, it is innate for travelers to explore new environment, while at the same time, purchase certain things that will help remind them of the place they have visited.
So, where exactly is the top destination to do shopping? Where else but Germany, the shopper's idea of paradise. In my previous post, I explained that many tourists love to explore the various shopping establishments in Germany because the country is among the cheapest shopping spots in the world. I really have no explanations why shopping in Germany is not a form of extravagance. It is much better to take advantage on such a cool fact and start some serious shopping in the numerous establishments found in the cities of Germany.
Of course, when you go shopping in Germany, it is must to carry with you the right currency for your shopping expenses. Remember that just like another country in Europe, Germany uses Euro as their currency. As you start your shopping escapade, head to the cities' center districts and there you will find all kinds of shopping establishments. You will find everything you need in hundreds of stores in Germany's prime cities, particularly in Berlin. Now, if you wish to have some serious shopping escapade while traveling, Germany is the first place for you to visit.

If I will put into one word my whole vacation experience at Cologne Germany, the word would be "fascinating." I was there two months ago, because I had to accompany my sister in her new dormitory. What can I say? The city is truly a magnificent blend of uniqueness and glamor that sets it apart from Germany's major cities. I was instantly captivated by the attractive tourist destinations of Cologne and my memories of my stay will always be with me.

Located near the famous River Rhine of Germany, Cologne has a unique dialect and superb means of making or producing beer. Aside from that, the city is also regarded for two important tourism factors: the city's noted fragrances and popular cathedrals. The city's name was coined after an Italian retailer who first marketed a very popular water fragrant in Germany. I guess that is quite a name for the city.

The largest edifice in the whole region of Germany is none other than the Cologne Cathedral. The construction of the building took place almost 600 years ago. Due to immense size of the cathedral, several construction pauses took place between years 1248 and 1880. Cologne Cathedral's towers stood magnificently in the sky. Found inside the cathedral is the Sarcophagus of the Magi, which is a known treasured artifact of Kolner Dom.

I was on vacation in Germany last year. The first thing I noticed about the German locals was their fancy preference to outdoor dining. In fact, if you stroll through the streets of various Germany cities, you can see a lot of fine restaurants and cafes filled with Germans and tourists of all ages. I guess, the selections of outdoor dining establishments in Germany are not only for the locals, but for the hundreds of tourists as well.

I am not the only one who thinks that the Germans are truly outdoor people. Many of my friends who have been to Germany also observed that the German locals fancy chatting, strolling the parks and streets, meeting with friends, and dining at various cafes and restaurants. Also, they prefer outdoor dining so they can enjoy the sunshine, the nature, and the fresh air. The series of dining establishments in Germany cater to the outdoor dining preferences of the Germans.

The Germans have numerous places where they can spend their daily dining rituals. Such places could be cozy and small or big dining locations. Generally, the furnitures of outdoor dining establishments in Germany may either be fancy or cheap. Many restaurants use decorative accessories, fancy tablecloths, and fine cutlery. The cafes usually serve delectable cakes, cream cakes, breads, and cookies. As such observations, I now know how to blend in with their passion for chatting and dining preference.

I agree that Germany excels in many kinds of designs. It could be in latest engines, fancy and expensive type of cars, and even stately architectural designs. But what about fashion designs or sense? Some fashion critics say that Germany doesn't really have a common sense of dress styles. That is why, according to some, Germans are not internationally noted when it comes to fashion. I definitely disagree with such claim.
Monday, May 7. 2007
As I have said, I do not agree with the claims that Germans do not have a common or unified dress sense. Even a lousy and beastly looking communities gave some sort of dress preference. Some of the most common German dress styles are leather trousers, boots, and jackets for men, while the German ladies prefer to wear stonewash as for their denims. Going back to the German's lack of common dress sense, I again disagree to some people's claims that Germans are not known internationally when it comes to fashion.

So, if you are looking for a modern and high quality style of German fashion, Betty Barclay Group is the first thing that enters my mind. Today, Barclay is among the top German designers that are also well-acclaimed by fashion experts around the world. Barclay's collection includes women apparels such as clothing , shoes, bags, accessories, eye wear, and fragrances that are especially designed and crafted to be in line with the needs of modern German style needs and other societies as well.

The Berlin Wall had fallen a very long time ago, yet many still feel that the region is still a separate city. Also, if your mind forms a mental image of a German city in a spy or war setting, you definitely got the wrong impression. Berlin is among the most pleasant and greenest city in Germany. Though the place was once regarded as very unconventional, Berlin is now a major cultural site with all its museums, concert halls, and galleries.

Just like other states, Germany has lots of popular tourist attractions that are very much worth your time and effort of visiting. Each German city is rich with interesting happenings, historical landmarks, and fascinating attractions that will surely lure you from your hotel's spacious and comfy beds. Of course, you are not in Germany just to stay in a luxurious hotel. You should visit the various cities, especially Berlin, to get a better picture or understanding of the country you have visited.

Regarded as the nation's icon for a unified modern and historic city concept, Berlin is home to various cultural arts, including museums, superb dining establishments, nightlife, and exhibits. When you prefer to understand Germany's contemporary features of promise and complexities, the city of Berlin is the excellent place for you to explore such qualities. Berlin's cultural wonders, like the Altes Museum, Museum Island, and Bode Museum are a few of the must-see destinations in Berlin. Shopping at first-class stores and strolling the calm and glorious streets of Berlin are also a couple of nice things to do in that city.

In this modern digital world, information is everything! Yes, and it's a good thing we have all the information we need right smack at the tips of our fingers. One advantage of free and accessible information is that it helps us a lot on our travels and stuff. I heard of this travel tip in Germany which would make your trips as cheap as a lemonade drink in America! But you have to use actual public transport systems and all, you know. This is because gas prices have a rather global pricing system.
Tuesday, May 1. 2007
Bus rides in beautiful Germany can actually be relatively cheap. If you know where to buy your tickets and all, that is. It's the same case with the German train rides and all. A nice tip I got is that you could ask for discounted tickets from the public transport system company of Germany. Looking for their local offices is a good thing to do. But in order for you to get more discounted tickets, you should be a frequent user of the German public transport system. Next thing you have to do is know just how exactly what is there to be done so as to save on German train rides. Yes, saving on bus tickets and on train tickets are totally different things!
Monday, April 30. 2007
Train rides in Germany have this sort of heavily complicated pricing and buying system. The only way you could save on train tickets in this country is to buy tickets in advance. But if you have company, they are required to pay only half of what you paid for. Thus, one good trick around this system so as for you to save more on train tickets is for you to be the actual company, and not them! Plus, kids also have discounts and all. But I think if you're with a kid, chances as you're gonna be the one who has to actually pay up in full.

This truly is the modern age of digital information technology. Back then, most people were denied access to various information. But now, governments are planning to make such documents accessible for public viewing! In recent events, the German government is planning to open up and make accessible to the general public the archives of one of their most well known concentration camps. The actual death camp holds about a ton of information on the damn Nazi regime.
Saturday, April 28. 2007
The German government is planning to let the general public have a peek at the documents contained within the vaults of one of its death camps. The actual death camp, a memento of the goddamn Holocaust, stands in the good German town Bad Arolsen. It holds quite a ton of information on the victims of the Hitler regime. German government officials have stated that making the archives contained within its vaults accessible to the general public would generally educate and inform the people of what actually happened in the Holocaust.
Friday, April 27. 2007
The Holocaust was Hitler's final solution for German dominance of the world. With this final solution, death camps were built so as to purge their country of "lesser mortals". The concentration camp in this country's town, Bad Arolsen, holds vital information on almost 17 million Holocaust victims. Its government is planning to make the archives contained within this death camp's vaults accessible to the general public. They have stated that it is for the dissemination of actual information so as to help future generations know of the stupidity of wars and racism.

With information on demand now a possibility due to digital information technology, people are getting smarter and smarter by the damn generation! But this is not only because of faster and easier information access. It would more be due to the volume of information that has been accumulated from centuries of human existence. With this, the connection between brain size and intelligence can be noted. A larger brain would be needed to hold larger volumes of information. But diet also plays an important role on intelligence. With this, recent studies have shown that the smartest people could be found in Germany.
Wednesday, April 25. 2007
Medical scientists and researchers have reported that among the people of the world, Germans are the smartest. This was from several tests a team of researchers have conducted on European countries. Germans topped the test results, garnering a 107-point average. I think it's more because of German culture that triggers them to be the smartest people on the planet. This is because some of the smartest persons in this world are from Germany, and culture could probably be seen as the prime cause of this. But the team of researchers that made this study have noted that diet plays a more important role than culture.
Tuesday, April 24. 2007
A German diet consists of almost the same food stuff to be found on any country. So how in hell could they actually be smarter than other people?! But the medical scientists and researchers who have found that Germans are the smartest people on the planet have noticed a larger brain size for Europeans living in the northern areas of the continent. A university professor known as Lynn has stated that colder regions of the planet produce people with larger brains. This is because of the need to eat animal meat since plant life is rather scarce in these areas. With meat stuff, you get more protein, and protein is generally for the brain. With this, I think a trip to Germany would be more of an educational venture than a leisurely one.

If you want a tasty gourmet meal, you would have to take a trip to France so as to experience the best when it comes to gourmet cuisine. If you're in Germany, chances are, you're expecting to hop on a ride on one of their famous world-class cars, and drive at breakneck speeds on their famous lonely highway roads. But you certainly would never expect to get damn good burritos from this part of the world, you know. Yet, I think burritos just found the way to Berlin!
Sunday, April 22. 2007
This is exactly what two investors have brought to Berlin. Dolores, Germany's first burrito shop, seeks to take good Californian fast-food dining to this part of the damn planet! So the world famous Frankfurts and Vienna sausages of Germany now has a worthy contender when it comes to easy outdoor dining, don't you think? This burrito shop is at the actual corners of the streets Münz and Rosa Luxemburg. Plus, it stands not in the midst of palm trees, but in avocado trees!
Saturday, April 21. 2007
Yes, the owners of this shop, namely Grischa Coenen and Philipp Krahé, are the first people in Germany to own a burrito shop! Not only that, but it is actually the first and foremost burrito shop in the history of Germany! But the owners have stated that in running a business in a country, just the right planning is needed for the job. After all, burritos thrive on smashed-up avocados, better known as guacamole. So it would take more than just export resources for this one, you know.
